Armenian bank’s total assets surge 7.4% to AMD 2.209 trln in II Q

YEREVAN, July 23. /ARKA/. Total assets of banks in Armenia climb by 7.4% to 2. 209 trillion  drams in II quarter of 2012 (as of June 30), according to the analysis compiled by ARKA agency.
Total assets of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE grew by 9.9% to nearly 239.8 billion drams from this year’s beginning, making the bank a leader among the other banks of Armenia. The share of this bank’s assets makes up 10.8% of the total assets.

Other top banks are Ameriabank- 221.8 billion drams (growth by 10.4%), HSBC Bank Armenia – nearly 197.7 billion drams (rise by 10.4%), Armbusinessbank- 183.4 billion drams (up by 9.7%), and VTB Bank (Armenia)- 181.5 billion drams (lift by 2.3%).
As of June 30, 2012 there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. ($1 – 411.94 drams). —0–
