Second-quarter exchange rate teetering in Armenia had positive impact on monetary assets

YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. The impact of the exchange rate fluctuation on monetary assets and their equivalents was positive. It totaled over 3.6 billion drams in the second quarter of this year, according to the banks’ second-quarter financial interim report.

Last quarter the impact was 1.9 billion drams, also positive, the data shows.

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the Armenian dram devalued against the USD by 3.4% in the second quarter from a quarter earlier.
