Anelik Bank intends to increase number of active plastic cards to 50,000 by end of this year

YEREVAN, September 29. /ARKA/. Anelik Bank intends to increase the number of active plastic cards to 50,000, and POS terminals to 600 by the end of this year, Armen Arevyan, chief of the bank’s marketing unit, said Saturday at a news conference.

“The number of holders of Anelik Bank’s cards has grown 10% since the beginning of this year. It means the number of active international and local cards reached 47,000 by September 29,” he said.
Arevyan said that the number of POS terminals rose 25% in the first eight months of this year to 555.

Anelik Bank was established on July 9, 1990, and registered on October 1, 1991.
In October 1996, the bank received its license from the Central Bank of Armenia.
CreditBank S.A.L. holds 69.5% of the bank’s shares and 12.25% belong to Samvel Chzmachyan, another 12.25% to Galina Voronina and the remaining 6% to Armen Ghazaryan. -0–
