Overall number of Armenian Banks’ customers ito surge by 54% in 2012-2014 to 2.2 million

YEREVAN, October 10. / ARKA /. The overall number of Armenian banks’ customers is expected to surge by 54% in 2012-2014 or by 779,000  to 2.2 million, according to a report by  the Central Bank. According to the report,  the number of customers will be growing by 15 percent annually. At the same time, according to the regulator’s estimates, the number of payment cards in 2012-2014 is expected to almost double to 1.9 million.

According to forecasts of the commercial banks, the number of payment cards, POS-terminals and ATMs will be growing annually by 25%, 31% and 18% respectively.   -0-
