Armenia’s commercial banks purchased over $96,3 mln last week

YEREVAN, October 29. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased over $96.3 million at an average weighted rate of 405.04 drams per $1 from 29 October to 2 November in intra-banking market of foreign currency, the press service of Armenia’s Central Bank reports on Monday.

At the same period, the banks obtained nearly 6 million euros and about 670.8 million rubles at an average weighted rate of 523.59 drams per €1 and 12.8 drams per 1 ruble respectively.

The banks sold $111.6 million, over €12.2 million and nearly 106.3 million rubles at an average weighted rate of 406.14 drams, 526.92 drams and 12.99 drams respectively.

Moreover, from 22 to 28 October the volume of AMD loans provided by the Armenian banks totaled 36.6 billion drams, and USD loans- $46.7 million. ($1 – 405.96 drams).—
