Private transfers to Armenia grew by 10.9% to over $1.5bln in 11 months

YEREVAN, January 16. /ARKA/. Private transfers to Armenia grew by 10.9% to over 1.5 billion USD in January-November 2012, as compared to the same period of the year before, the Central Bank of Armenia reported.

Transfers from Armenia abroad totalled $262.7mln in the 11 months of 2012, as compared to $238.4mln in January-November 2011 (10.2% increase).

Net receipts amounted to about $1.2bln in January-November 2012 against about $1.1bln in the same period of the year before (11% increase).

The highest net receipts, over $1.3bln, were recorded in transfers from Russia in the reporting period. ($1=407.30drams).–0–
