Armenia’s commercial banks purchased $91.5 mln last week

YEREVAN, February 11. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased over $91.5 million at an average weighted rate of 405.65 drams per $1 from 4 to 8 January in intra-banking market of foreign currency, the press service of Armenia’s Central Bank reports on Monday.

At the same period, the banks obtained nearly 8.6 million euros and over 478.5 million rubles at average weighted rates of 548.72 drams per €1 and 13.4 drams per 1 ruble respectively.

The banks sold nearly $100.8 million, about €11.8 million around 73.3 million rubles at average weighted rates of 406.56 drams, 551.61 and 13.59 drams respectively.

Moreover, from 28 January to 3 February the volume of AMD loans provided by the Armenian banks totaled 38.1 billion drams, and USD loans- $34.8 million. ($1 – 406.10 drams).—
