Total amount of outstanding loans provided by branches of Armenian banks in Nagorno-Karabakh surge by 25.3 percent

STEPANAKERT, March 7. / ARKA /. The total amount of outstanding loans provided by branches of Armenian banks in Nagorno-Karabakh has surged by 25.3 percent as of March 1, 2013 when compared to a year earlier, to 7.665.2 billion drams, the National Statistical Service of Nagorno-Karabakh said, adding that compared to February this year the loans grew by 0.8 percent.

It said also some 57.9% of the loans are provided in foreign currency. The share of overdue loans was 0.8 percent.

As of March 1, 2013 the deposits kept by these branches amounted to 50.357.3 billion drams, an increase of 14.8 percent compared to the same period last year.

According to the official data, 75.2% of deposits are time deposits, 17% are demand deposits and 7.8% are purpose deposits. -0-
