Armenia’s monetary base upped 3.6% to AMD 679.5bln in February

YEREVAN, March 26. /ARKA/. Armenia’s monetary base rose by 23.6 million drams or 3.6% to about 679.5 bln drams in February 2013, compared to January 2013.

Cash outside the Central Bank of Armenia totaled over 397.7bln drams by the end of February versus over 400.7 bln drams as of the end of January, the Central Bank said Tuesday.

Mandatory reserves in drams stood at over 183.4bln drams against more than 175.8bln drams at the end of January; mandatory reserves in foreign currency exceeded 93.1bln drams against over 73.5bln drams.

Net international reserves (without privatization funds) amounted to around 418bln drams by the end of February, a 3.7% increase against January.

Net domestic assets rose to over 261.5bln drams versus 252.8bln drams in late January. ($1 – 418.02 drams).—0-
