The number of Armenian banks’ customers grows by 18.7 percent in 12 months

YEREVAN, April 5. / ARKA /. The number of corporate and individual customers of Armenian banks last year increased by 18.7 percent to 1,619,444, according to the latest numbers released by the National Statistical Service. Of them some 71,900 were corporate clients (an increase of 3.8%), while the number of individual clients grew by 19.4 percent to 1.5 million.

At the end of January the banks had 1.9 million accounts, by 11.8 percent less than in 2012 January. The number of individuals’ bank accounts slashed by almost 12 percent to 1.8 million, while the number of corporate bank accounts grew by 12 percent to 127,700. ($1 – 418.06 drams). -0-
