Armenia may post 3.5% inflation in 1Q 2013 :CB

YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. Armenia may post 3.5-percent inflation in the first half of 2013, the Central Bank of Armenia reported announcing results of the CB Council meeting of March 26.
“The inflation in February, still being stable, stood at 0.2%, as a result a 12-month inflation was 3.5%,” according to the source.

It said the 12-month inflation stayed in line with the February forecast, that is why in the first half the inflation can stand at 3.5%, March can also record an inflation.
Armenia also posted a 0.4-percent deflation in February, as a result a 12-month inflation was 3.1%.
February deflation was mainly due to a drop in prices for consumer goods at 0.7%. Prices of “veggies and potatoes” and “fruits” stood at 6.2% and 2.6% accordingly.

In Armenia’s state budget inflation is projected at 4 ±1.5% in 2013. —0-
