Armenian banking cards used in 2013 February outside the country to make around 4 billion drams worth transactions

YEREVAN, April 11. / ARKA /. Armenian banking cards were used in 2013 February outside the country to make around 74,100 transactions worth around 4 billion drams, by 40.4% down from the previous month, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia for February. The number of transactions also declined by 37.3%.

Of that amount 2.7 billion drams were non-cash transactions, by 46.4% less than in January 2013. Plastic cards were used also to withdraw 1.2 billion drams worth currency, down from 1.59 billion drams in January (a 21.3% decline).

There are 21 commercial banks in Armenia of which 19 are members of the single payment system ArCa. ($ 1 – 418.31 drams). -0 –
