Q1 money turnover at Areximbank-Gazprombank Group’s units up almost 46%

YEREVAN, April 13. /ARKA/. The money turnover at Areximbank-Gazprombank Group’s units accounted to 802 568  000 drams as of the first quarter of 2013, the bank reported to ARKA on Saturday.

It said the turnover rose by 45.55%, compared to the same period a year earlier.

Such progress occurred due to the new service –Internet- acquiring. It was first introduced in Armenia by Areximbank-Gazprombank Group which received an authorization from VISA to do so.
The turnover of money  made via Areximbank cards at the units of some other banks accounted to 485 888 000, a 21.97 percent increase from 1Q 2012.

Money turnover  at the cash points of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group stood at 9 277 million drams; of them 2 953 million –at POS –terminals, and 6 324 million –at ATMs. It is said to climb by 25.29% from the first quarter of 2012.

The bank issued 3692 plastic cards in 1Q 2013, of them 2691 are VISA cards, 996 –MasterCard, and 5 –ArCa.

As of March 31, 76 ATMs, 40 cash points, and 299 trade terminals were installed in the bank’s network. —0–
