Lagarde: ECB should ease monetary and credit policy

YEREVAN, April 19. /ARKA/. IMF Chief Christine Lagarde suggests that the eurozone should go on easing monetary and credit policy, banki.ru reported today.

According to her, the European Central Bank is the only central bank in the world to have space for maneuvering. She also added the eurozone’s economy needs additional stimulus so as not to stay behind the global economy growth rates.

Lagarde also commended an aggressive policy of Bank of Japan and ambitious plans of the Japanese government. —0-
