HSBC Bank Armenia rewards best five trade finance companies

YEREVAN, July 10, /ARKA/. Today HSBC Bank Armenia awarded its best trade finance customers of 2012. The five selected companies demonstrated success, achieved tangible results and expanded internationally by making use of HSBC geographic footprint covering more than 80 countries in 5 continents and the bank’s r innovative, forward looking trade finance solutions.

The Best Trade Customer Grand Prix was awarded to Euroterm CJSC. The company was founded in 1998. One of its major activities is import, sale and installation of heating systems. It also owns Noyan brand of juices, drinks and vegetable and fruit preserves.

The innovative wine and cognac production plant founder Golden Grape Armas LLC got the CEO’s Special Award. The company was founded in 2009.

The Best Newcomer Trade Award went to Mentor Graphics. It has been present in Armenia since 2002 and is a leader in the field of electronic design and software production for automated systems.
The Innovative Trade Award was granted to Piralyan company dealing with imports of footwear and clothes and Alfa Pet LLC won the International Trade Award.

Loans show faster growth than deposits in December – Finance Ministry

Financial intermediation by the Armenian banking system in December 2024 continued to outpace economic activity, also characterized by a higher growth rate of loans compared to deposits, according to the Armenian Ministry of Finance's report titled "Review of Macroeconomic Developments. December 2024." Unlike December 2023, the growth in loan volumes (24.2%) exceeded the growth in deposit volumes (13.9%).
