Armenian, Russian financial institutions agree to intensify cooperation

YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. Following a round-table discussion at the third Russian-Armenian inter-regional forum representatives of financial institutions reached an agreement to intensify bilateral cooperation, Armenia’s deputy minister of economy Tigran Harutiunyan said Tuesday.

In particular, the sides agreed to study various forms of cooperation between the countries’ stock exchanges and opportunities for using Russian leasing and factoring experience in Armenia.

Agreements were reached also on partnering in banking and investments as part of integration processes, the deputy minister said. Potential for possible involvement of Russian financial institutions and capacities of Armenian financial organizations to boost Armenia’s stock market were discussed, he said. –0–
