Areximbank – Gazprombank Group remains committed to social responsibility in 2013

YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. Areximbank –Gazprombank Group remained committed to its corporate social responsibility during 2013, the bank’s press office reported.

The bank’s strategic development program envisages a number of measures and events for socially vulnerable groups. It is many years now the bank has been supporting students and children from poor families, children with infantile cerebral paralysis and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, says the report. The bank has been also allocating money for urban developments in Yerevan.

In particular, the bank paid for food for some twenty children from Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) during a month, paid transportation costs for Armenian Syrian children to spend their vacations here and helped pay operation costs for two children from poor families.

Apart from this, the bank covered the costs of printing of an Armenian language handbook for the communities of Russia and Ukraine.

Every year the bank awards scholarships to students of various higher schools in the country. The 2013 winner Mikhael Malkhasyan has used the money to publish his book “Oshakan” dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Armenian bookprinting.

Areximbank – Gazprombank Group is cooperating with the Armenian Association for Academic Partnership and Support (ARMACAD). In 2013 the bank presented an IPad to the Association.
In 2013, the bank presented an EPSON projector and monitor to the 102nd Russian military base that has been its client for many years and bought canteen furniture for the school of the base in Giumry.
Areximbank – Gazprombank Groups is actively cooperating with the Russian Embassy in Armenia and provides assistance in cultural and public event arrangements.

The bank also provides support to pensioners that worked in the financial fields every year on the banking worker day.

Areximbank – Gazprombank Group will continue its social programs to contribute to the life of the country, says the report.
