Armenian banking cards used outside the country to make 4.4 billion drams worth transactions in 2013 December

YEREVAN, February 17. / ARKA /. Armenian banking cards were used outside the country to make about 4.4 billion drams worth transactions in 2013 December, by 6.7 % less than in the previous months, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia for 2013 December.

Overall, the banking cards were used to make 82,374 transactions, by 15.5 percent less than in 2013 November.

The amount of cashless transactions made by using Armenian banking cards abroad in 2013 December grew by 5.6 percent from the previous month to 3.1 billion drams.

The cards were used also to withdraw about 1.26 billion drams worth cash, down 27.5% from the previous month.

There are 21 commercial banks in Armenia of which 19 are members of the single payment system ArCa. ($1 – 412.25 drams). -0-
