Armenian banks buy $75 million at inter-bank forex market last week

YEREVAN, March 17. / ARKA /. Armenian banks bought a total of $75 million at the inter-bank forex market in a time span from March 10 to 14 at the average weighted exchange rate of 414.14 drams for one USD, the press service of the Central Bank said.

It said the banks also bought a total of 4.7 million euros and about 594.9 million rubles at average exchange rates of 573.38 drams and 11.29 drams respectively.

At the same time, the banks sold about $95.7 million, €12.1 million and 124 million rubles at average exchange rates of 415.45, 577.57 and 11.46 drams respectively.

Besides, on March 3-9 the banks provided 32.2 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $49.7 million in USD. ($ 1 – 414.56 drams). -0 –
