Car Insurance Bureau of Armenia warns against driving uninsured

YEREVAN, April 15. /ARKA/. Drivers will be penalized for driving without insurance, the Car Insurance Bureau of Armenia said Tuesday.

The Bureau is reminding that, according to Administrative Code article 129, not having a car insurance agreement for a vehicle registered in the territory of Armenia for more than 10 days will lead to a penalty of 5,000 drams for each subsequent 10 days of delay, but not more that 100,000 drams for every year of delay in insurance.
At the same time, a penalty of 100,000 drams shall be paid for driving uninsured in Armenia.

The Bureau urges everyone with his car insurance expired or expiring to take measures for signing the new insurance agreement in time, according to the report.

As of the end of February, there were a total of 435,438 vehicles insured, an increase of 14,298 compared to January and a 19% increase compared to February 2013.

The third-party liability motor insurance was introduced in Armenia on January 1, 2011.–0–
