Armenia’s Central Bank puts into circulation three commemorative coins

YEREVAN, April 29. / ARKA /. Armenia’s Central Bank said today it has put into circulation 500 commemorative gold coins dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian poet and public figure Hovhannes Shiraz, as well as 500 silver coins dedicated to the 400th anniversary of a Church leader and one of the first Armenian book printers Voskan Yerevantsi and another 500 silver coins dedicated to the 100th anniversary of a prominent artist Edward Isabekyan.

The face value of gold coins is 10,000 drams. They are made of pure gold. The diameter of proof quality coin is 22.0 mm. The weight is 8.6 grams. The coin was designed by Harutyun Musaelyan and Edward Kurguinyan.

The face value of silver coins dedicated to Voskan Yerevantsi is 1,000 drams. The coins are made ​​of pure silver. The diameter of the 33.6 gram coin is 40.0 mm. It is of proof quality. The coin was designed by Vardan Vardanyan.

The obverse of the silver coin dedicated to Edward Isabekyan has a fragment of his painting “Young David.”

The face value of the coin is 100 drams. It is too made of pure silver. The size is 28, 0 x40, 0 mm and the weight is 28.28 grams. It was designed by Harutyun Musaelyan. All three coins were minted by Lithuanian Mint. -0 –
