Armenia’s inflation to be within the target levels in 2014-2015 – Central Bank

YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s inflation will be within the target level of 4% (±1.5%) in 2014-2015, deputy head of the central bank Nerses Yeritsyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.

The central bank sees no serious risks in terms of price stability also for the future, Yeritsyan said.

Inflation will stay within 4% in 2014 and be in the limits of 4% (±1.5%) in 2015 having in mind the recent developments in the currency market, he said.

Earlier, the head of the central bank Artur Javadyan said inflation will be back to 4% (±1.5%) in early 2015.

According to him, the 12-month inflation went from 5.6% at the end of 2013 down to 0.8% in august 2014 and up at 1.5% in September 2014 compared to September 2013.

The central bank says January-October inflation was 2.9% against the same period of 2013.

The budgeted inflation level for 2014 is 4% (±1.5%), and the same level is projected in the 2015 draft budget. –0—
