Chshmarityan: Armenia’s government has no intention to revise current budget

YEREVAN, April 16. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government has no intention to reconsider the current budget, since economic indicators are expected to improve significantly late this year, Armenian Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said in an interview with Golos Armenii newspaper.

In his words, the measures taken by the government will spur the country’s economy. He said that these measures included amendment of some laws and implementation of certain infrastructural projects aimed at improvement of investment environment.

«This is a real, not an optimistic approach, since we know more about what is going on in the real sector,» Chshmarityan said.

In Armenia’s government budget for 2015, revenue is projected at AMD 1 trillion 191 billion, where AMD 1 trillion 138 billion, which makes up 23.39% of GDP, is expected to come as taxes and customs duties.

Budget spending here is projected at AMD 1 trillion 305 billion or 26.82% of GDP and budget deficit at AMD 114 billion or 2.34% of GDP.

The real GDP growth is projected at 4.1% for 2015 and inflation at 4% (±1.5%). The nominal amount of GDP is planned to be AMD 4867.5 billion in 2015 and GDP deflator 3.3%.

The Armenian national currency’s exchange rate in the budget is 411 drams per one dollar. –0–
