2,281,423 clients at Armenia’s banks in late April 2015 – 12.9 percent increase

YEREVAN, July 6. /ARKA/. Armenia’s banks had 2,281,423 clients in late April 2015 – a 12.9 percent increase, compared with late April 2014, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

The country’s banks had 78,781 corporate clients and 2,202,642 individual clients in late April 2015.
There were 4,017,244 accounts at the banks in late April 2015 against 3,445,651 in late April 2014.
The number of individuals’ accounts was 3,842,150 and legal entities’ accounts 175,094.

Balances of the population’s accounts in banks totaled AMD 926 568 million in late May after growing 1.7% over one month and 9.6% over one year. ($1 –  AMD 473.45). ——0—-

Taking into account the narrowing budget deficits and high nominal GDP growth, the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings forecasts that Armenia's public debt net of liquid assets will remain broadly stable at a moderate 44% of GDP in the medium term.
