Internet transactions carried out in Armenia by using payment cards grow 19% to AMD 4.2 billion

YEREVAN, August 19. /ARKA/. Internet transactions carried out by using payment cards issued by Armenian and foreign banks amounted to AMD 4.2 billion in late June 2015 – 19% more than in the previous month, the Central Bank of Armenia reports in the latest issue of its monthly bulletin.

The total number of payment card transactions in Internet was 199,791 – a 9.8% month-on-month growth.
The total amount of transactions carried out in Armenia’s territory by using payment cards issued by Armenian and foreign banks via all types of services was AMD 124.7 billion and the total number of the transactions was 2,566,368 – a 6.8% growth.

Payment card transactions carried out through ATMs amounted to AMD 97.6 billion in late June 2015 – a 9.7% growth, and the total number of these transactions reached 2,043,777 showing a 7.1% month-on-month growth.

Transactions made via POS terminals and imprinters totaled about AMD 22.8 billion (9% growth), and their number rose 3%. ($1 – AMD 477.62). –0–
