Armenian banks bought $67 million from local forex market in four days

YEREVAN, September 28. / ARKA /. Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $66.9 million from local forex intra-market on September 22-25 at the weighted average exchange rate of 475.47 drams per $1, the press service of the Central Bank said.

They also bought 9.9 million euros and 893.6 million Russian rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 530.34 drams and 7.11 drams respectively.

In the same time span the banks sold about $89.2 million, €11.5 million and about 277.7 million Russian rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 477.27, 536.12 and 7.27 drams respectively.

Besides, from September 14 to 20 the banks issued 38.6 billion drams worth loans in Armenian currency and $40.9 million loans in USD. ($ 1 – 475.35 drams) .- 0-
