Overdue loans at Armenia’s banks grow 13.4% to AMD 45.3 billion in February

YEREVAN, April 5. /ARKA/. Overdue loans at Armenia’s banks reached AMD 45.3 billion by late February after growing 13.4% over one month, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

Short-term overdue grew 12.6% to AMD 25.1 billion, and long-term overdue grew 14.4% to AMD 20.2 billion.

Loans with extended terms grew 2% to AMD 113.8 billion.

Banks’ credit investments totaled AMD 1 970.2 billion in late February showing a 1.84% month-on-month growth – loans in foreign currencies grew 2.6% to AMD 1 320.7 billion and those in drams grew 0.35% to AMD 649.4 billion.

Armenian banks’ aggregate loan portfolio amounted to AMD 2 129.4 drams in late February, showing a two-percent month-on-month growth. —0—
