Armenian financial sector’s services grow 2.7% to AMD 37.2 billion in Jan-Feb 2016

YEREVAN, April 13. /ARKA/. Financial and insurance services worth AMD 37.2 billion were provided in Armenia in January and February 2016, the National Statistical Service reports.

This amount is 2.7% larger than that of the same period a year before.

According to the statistical report, the financial sector accounted for AMD 18.4 billion, a 5.2 percent year-on-year growth and a 21.4% share in the total cost of the services provided in the country in Jan-Feb 2016 – AMD 173.7 billion (9.8% year-on-year growth).

The culture, entertainment and rest segment’s services totaled AMD 35.7 billion in Jan-Feb 2016 showing a 50.5% year-on-year growth, the information and communication sector provided services amounting to AMD 31.1 billion (0.9% growth) and transport AMD 22.4 billion (24.8% growth). –0—
