Total external liabilities of central bank grew by 1.6% in March to $613.7 million

YEREVAN, May 11, / ARKA /. The total external liabilities of Armenia’s Central Bank amounted to $613.7 million in late March 2016, having increased by 1.6% from the previous month, according to the March edition of the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia.

About 45.3% of the regulator’s foreign debt or $277.8 million was owed to the IMF, an increase of 1.4% over the month.

At the same time SDR stood $123.8 million (up 1.3%) and other loans – at $211.8 million, a growth of 2%.

Other foreign liabilities of the Central Bank in March 2016 stood at $0.4 million ($ 1 – 479.03 drams). -0-
