Deposits in Armenian banks grew by 3 percent to over 2.6 trillion drams

YEREVAN, July 2. / ARKA /. At the end of 2018 May the amount of deposits in Armenian banks totaled 2.616.7 trillion drams, an increase of 77.3 billion drams or 3% from the previous month, according to the Central Bank.

Residents’ deposits amounted to 2.075.5 trillion drams (an increase of 0.4%). Deposits in Armenian drams increased by 2.36% to 971.3 billion drams, while deposits in foreign currency decreased by 1.21% to the equivalent of 1.104.2 trillion drams.

Non-resident deposits grew by 68.4 billion drams or 14.5% to 541.1 billion drams, according to the Central bank. ($ 1 – 482.24 drams). -0-
