Armenian banks bought $82.2 million at local forex market

YEREVAN, August 27. /ARKA/. Armenian banks bought a total of $82.2 million at the local forex market from August 20 to August 24 at the weighted average rate of 482.19 drams for $1, the press service of the Central Bank reported.

It said also the banks bought 10.5 million euros and about 1.728.7 billion Russian rubles at the weighted average rate of 552.43 drams for € 1 and 7.11 drams for 1 ruble, respectively. At the same time, they sold about $83.8 million, €16.7 million and 728.3 million rubles at the weighted average rates of 483.54 drams, 558.61 drams and 7.20 drams, respectively.

In addition, from August 13 to August 19, the banks provided about 79.7 billion drams worth loans in the Armenian currency and $38.9 million in US Dollars. -0-
