Armenian central bank issues new commemorative coins dedicated to carpets

YEREVAN, September 28. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Central Bank has issued silver commemorative coins dedicated to Armenian Carpet series.

The Central Bank said the following silver coins have been issued: Vishapagorg, Arevagorg, Artsvagorg, Khoranargorg, Khachkhorangorg, Meghvabun gorg, Kenatstsar gorg, Vahanov gorg, Vorotan Gorg and Proshaberd Gorg.

Overall, 500 silver commemorative coins of each type with a nominal value of AMD 1,000 have been issued. The obverse of the coins depicts the coat of arms of Armenia and the carpet patterns Tsakhkakhach, and the reverse depicts Armenian carpets. -0-
