Pashinyan says FDI in third quarter up by 50 percent

YEREVAN, January 21. /ARKA/. According to the balance of payments, foreign direct investment (FDI) in Armenia increased by 50% in the third quarter of 2018, as opposed to the same quarter of 2017, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook-e page.

According to him, in the third quarter of 2018, the net inflow (net liabilities) of FDI amounted to $75.5 million compared to $50.9 million in the third quarter of 2017.

He said also that the same dynamics was observed during 2017-2018; in the first quarter of 2017 FDI stood at $68 million, in the second – at $29.1 million, in the third quarter – at $50.9 million, in the fourth quarter. – at $101.8 million

The figures for 2018 are the following: in the first quarter they stood at $94.2 million, in the second quarter – at $8.9 million, in the third quarter – at $75.7 million.

Pashinyan said the data for the fourth quarter of 2018 (balance of payments) has not yet been published. –0–
