Reserves at Armenia’s banks for possible losses on loans total AMD 147.7 billion in 2018

YEREVAN, February 15. /ARKA/. Reserves at Armenia’s banks for possible losses on loans totaled AMD 147.7 billion in 2018 – 6.12% or AMD 8.5 billion more than in 2017, according to the figures from the fresh issue of ARKA News Agency’s ‘Banks of Armenia’ Bulletin.

Unibank, VTB Bank (Armenia), Ameriabank, Ardshinbank and Armbusinessbank are topping the news agency’s ranking.

Unibank’s reserves amounted to AMD 37 billion in 2018 showing a 13.76 growth, and its share in banks’ aggregate reserves was 27.8%.

VTB Bank (Armenia) accounted for reserves totaling AMD 35.9 billion, 13.2% and 21.58% respectively, Ameriabank for AMD 15.9 billon, 37.46% and 2.91%, Ardshinbank for AMD 9.5 billion, 90% and 2% and Armbusinessbank for AMD 8.3 billion, 48.57% and 1.91%.

In 2018, the aggregate loan portfolio of banks of Armenia amounted to AMD 3 071.3 million with a 16.25% growth. ($1- AMD 487.99). -0—-
