Armenia’s central bank has reserved $185 million since the beginning of the year

YEREVAN, June 28, /ARKA/. Armenia’s Central Bank has reserved $185 million since the beginning of the year, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday before the beginning of a Cabinet session.

According to him, positive trends in the country’s economy are having positive impact on foreign exchange market. As a result, the Central Bank is increasing its currency reserves.

“A week ago, the Central Bank had reserved $140 million. In one week the reserves have amounted to $185 million. In fact, over the last week, the Central Bank has increased the reserves by $50 million, and this is a good impulse,” said Pashinyan.

Earlier, the head of the Central Bank Arthur Javadyan stated in the parliament that since April 2019 the Central Bank has bought $140 million in the local foreign exchange market. ($1 – 477.33 drams). –0–
