Forgery of AMD 10-thousand ($21) banknotes disclosed by Armenian National Security Service

YEREVAN, July 25. /ARKA/. The National Security Service of Armenia has disclosed a case of forgery of AMD 10-thousand ($21) banknotes, the press office of the Service reported on Tuesday.

According to the press office, the alarming call came from one of pharmacies in Yerevan.

A citizen who ordered the printing of 10,000 banknotes at a printing house is already tracked down. To avoid suspicion, he wrote below the phrase “Printed for filming”. Then he cut off this inscription and used the banknotes in Yreevan and provinces.

Laser printers and 368 half-finished forged banknotes were found in the search.

An investigation was launched into the incident. Everything is being done to find other forged banknotes.

The National Security Service proposes all those citizens who find such banknotes (DA 90333076 series) to call (015) 56 27 24. -0–
