Some 61,921 cash registers of new generation installed in Armenia so far

YEREVAN, May 19. /ARKA/. Some 61,921 cash registers of new generation have been installed in Armenia so far, out of which 12,546 have been reactivated to handle also cashless payment, State Revenue Committee Chairman Rustam Badasyan said at a governmental session on Thursday.

According to him, if a business entity has a new generation cash register, it can contact the Central Bank with a request to activate the payment by POS-terminals feature.

He said this feature is not activated by 49,375 cash registers. Currently, the Central Bank is working to activate this feature in a short time and at acceptable rates, Badasyan noted. –0–
