Armenian Finance Minister and head of ADB Yerevan Office discussed Armenia’s loan portfolio

YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan and Paolo Spantigati,  the head of the Yerevan Office of the Asian Development Banks (ADB), discussed today ADB’s current and future projects in Armenia, the Finance Ministry’s press service reported.

It said Khachatryan attached importance to the  effective partnership between the Armenian government and ADB.

The two men were said to give special attention to the construction of the North-South Highway, financed by the bank, as well as to the  improvement of the road networks and transport infrastrcuture in Yerevan and beyond.

The sides also touched upon the provision of technical assistance by the ADB to Armenia in  reforming the justice and healthcare sectors.

ADB’s total investments in Armenia totaled $1.6 billion as of late February this year.  ADB, founded in 1966, has 68 members in 49 regions. The Bank aims at achieving prosperity, inclusiveness, flexibility, and stability in Asia and the Pacific, also eradicating extreme poverty. -0-
