AMX’s capitalization rose by 57% in May up to 250.4 billion drams

YEREVAN, June 13, /ARKA/. The insights of the May at Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX) have shown a surge of market and trade values of securities in comparison with May, 2021, AMX said in a press release.

Government bonds

On the primary auction platform of AMX the allocation volume of government bonds has reached ֏ 42.3 billion. Trade value of the government bonds in May made ֏ 16.7 billion – exceeding May, 2021 result by 203%. Total 77 trades have been concluded with treasury government bonds.

Corporate bonds

Corporate bonds show the same dynamic growth both in market value and trade value of securities compared to the indices of the same period last year. Market value of this month grew 4.6%, reaching ֏ 486.8 billion.

Trade value in May, 2022 reached more than ֏ 3 billion, with 272 trades concluded. The number of corporate bonds traded at AMX reached 104.

REPO

Number of REPO agreements has increased, reaching ֏ 3.5 billion. This index shows 28% growth compared to the same period last year.

Equity

The same increase in dynamics can be seen in equity data. Trade value reached more than ֏ 35 million, the market capitalization surged by 57%, reaching the total sum of ֏ 250.4 billion, with 80 trades concluded.  ($1 – 418.64 drams) -0-
