Central bank of Armenia raises key rate to 9.5 percent

YEREVAN, August 2. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Central Bank decided today to raise the refinancing rate by 0.25 percentage points and set it at 9.5%.

The Lombard repo rate was also increased to 11%, while the rate for commercial banks to attract loans from the central bank was raised to 8%.

On March 15, 2022 the Central Bank had already raised the key rate by 1.25 percentage points to 9.25%. –0–
