YEREVAN, September 23. /ARKA/. Starting from October 12, 2022, Tinkoff Bank’s clients will be able to receive SWIFT money transfers in US dollars and euros from banks of three CIS countries – Armenia  Azerbaijan, as well as Halyk Bank of Uzbekistan, Russian business daily Kommersant reported.

“Money transfers from other countries will not be credited,” according to a statement placed on the website of Tinkoff Bank. The statement notes that money transfers to pay for goods or services are allowed.

In Armenia, any bank of the country can be the sender bank for incoming SWIFT money transfers. The correspondent banks are Ardshinbank and Unibank.

Outgoing SWIFT money transfers have been restricted by Tinkoff Bank since July 6. The bank explained that it could not provide an acceptable level of service “due to daily tightening requirements of Western counterparties and the reducing number of processed payments from Russian clients.’ -0-
