Armenia’s total state debt stood at $11.2 billion at the end of November 2023

YEREVAN, January 11. /ARKA/. Armenia’s total state debt as of November 30, 2023 stood at a little over $11.2 billion, having risen by $91.3 million from the previous month, while on December 31, 2022, it was worth $10.6 billion, according to the National Statistical Committee.  

Over $6.3 billion of the total state debt was the external debt, up $31.5 mln from October 2023, while the domestic debt increased by $59.8 mln to over $4.8 billion.

The government’s debt increased by $23.9 million to over $5.8 billion. The debt of the Central Bank increased by $7.6 million to $531.5 million.

Of the domestic debt about $4.3 billion were owed to resident holders of government treasury bonds (up by $82.6 million from October 2023) and $522 million were owed to resident holders of government Eurobonds (down by $24.4 million from October 2023).

Government guarantees were worth $13.1 million (up by $ 1.5 million). No figures were available for loans and borrowings. -0-
