IMF chief calls Armenia’s financial performance in recent years impressive

YEREVAN, January 17. /ARKA/. Armenia’s financial performance in recent years is impressive, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva said at a meeting with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Georgieva emphasized that if peace were established in the region, wider opportunities and directions of economic growth would be recorded.

Khachaturyan highly assessed Armenia’s effective cooperation with the IMF and expressed confidence that it will be permanent.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the current challenges and their impact on the development and progress of the world economy. -0-
