YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. Director General of Rostelecom Armenia Hayk Faramazyan and Rector of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA) Yeghiazar Vardanyan signed a “Memorandum of Cooperation” on January 29 this year, the press service of Rostelecom Armenia reported.

It said as part f the memorandum, the parties agreed to ensure the involvement of specialists in educational and working processes, joint organization of seminars and other events, joint development of educational materials, organization of internships and business meetings for university students, financing of scholarships, attracting the best students to the company as employees and development of more effective formats of joint cooperation.

The memorandum was signed based on the important principles of trust, responsibility and mutual respect.

The signing of the memorandum was supported by the launch of the Cloud Video Surveillance Service by Rostelecom at the university. It provides a wide range of functionality, including secure video storage in a cloud domain, which allows the video to be protected from various external influences. As part of the service, Rostelecom Armenia offers an unprecedented feature: personalized video analysis based on the client’s needs,  gender, age, body temperature, vehicle license plate identification and other criteria, which allows to use data on activities in the video surveillance area for more efficient business management.

Installation and customization of cameras by the company’s own forces, round-the-clock service, availability of a modern and convenient application, archive storage for up to 14 days make the service unique in the Armenian market.

“Today is the beginning of an extremely important cooperation, which is not  only provision of  services to the partner; it also marks the beginning of long-term and multidimensional partnership relations. The memorandum is an extremely important strategic step for both Rostelecom Armenia and the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. This format of cooperation is bound to have a positive impact on the development of information technologies, based on mutual exchange of best practices. At the University we are launching a unique sCloud Video Surveillance Service, which is another revolutionary step of Rostelecom, and which is ahead of the development of cloud technologies in Armenia,” said Hayk Faramazyan, CEO of Rostelecom Armenia.

He added that Rostelecom is building Armenia’s largest Data Processing Center, where cloud services will play a key role.

“This will be our next step towards the development of information technologies. We are confident that cooperation with the university will continue in this context,” Faramazyan said.

Rector of NUACA Yeghiazar Vardanyan, in turn, said that Rostelecom Armenia is one of the best operators in the sphere.

“It is no coincidence that we decided to implement a project together with you that allows to listen to lectures at any time, to evaluate the best teaching practices and methods of our professors. I also emphasize another component of this program: safety. We always pay special attention to creating a safe environment for our students and staff, and in this context the project implemented with Rostelecom Armenia is very important. One of the priorities of our university is to improve the quality of education through the use of information technologies, and we are on the path of digitalization. We have already digitized a part of our educational process and now we are moving towards full digitalization,” Vardanyan said.

He expressed confidence that in the future the university will have new projects with Rostelecom Armenia, which will contribute to the development of both students and teachers and the company.

The Cloud Video Surveillance Service was launched by Rostelecom in November 2023 and has already managed to arouse great interest among both businesses and individuals.

At the end of the event, the parties congratulated each other on the planned long-term and fruitful cooperation. -0-
