Rostelecom supports the project on providing children’s rehabilitation services in Meghri

YEREVAN, February 28 /ARKA/. Emphasizing the role of social sector projects, Rostelecom Armenia has raised AMD 3 million for Arabkir United Children’s Charity Fund to provide development and rehabilitation services for children in Meghri Regional Medical Center, Rostelecom’s press service reports.

There are 2,500 children in Meghri district, of whom 200-250 have various developmental disorders.

The project includes construction and renovation, furnishing, creating conditions for appropriate medical care, and training specialists at the Meghri Regional Medical Center.

“We are pleased to announce that Rostelecom Armenia is once again participating in a very important social project to provide medical assistance to children with developmental problems.

This project has received a great response from us, because as a result of its implementation, children from Meghri, Agarak and neighboring villages will have an opportunity to use multi-disciplinary rehabilitation services.

We are glad that the project was highly appreciated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, which expressed its readiness to realize compensation of rehabilitation services within the framework of the state order,” noted Hayk Faramazyan, General Director of Rostelecom-Armenia.

Construction work on the project has already started, its completion is expected in spring 2024. Provision of services will start in the fall of 2024.-0-
