Armenian banks generated AMD 268 billion in profit in 9 months – UBA

YEREVAN, October 17. /ARKA/. Armenia-based banks generated AMD 268 billion in profit in the first 9 months of 2024, the press service of the Union of Banks of Armenia reported.


According to the ranking of the ARKA agency, the net profit of the banks amounted to AMD 172.1 billion against AMD 142 billion in the same period of 2023 (an increase of 21.2%).


During the reporting period, Armenian commercial banks registered an increase in key indicators.
In particular, their total capital increased by 260 billion drams (17.6%), amounting to 1,739 billion drams, and total assets increased by 959 billion drams (10.4%), to 10,144 billion drams.


During the reporting period, lending amounted to 5,758 billion drams with an increase of 727 billion drams (14.5%). Liabilities to customers increased by 398 billion drams (7.2%), amounting to 5,914 billion drams. ($1 – 387.28 drams). -0-
