Concerts of pianist Denis Matsuyev will be held in Yerevan with the support of VTB (Armenia)

YEREVAN, 8 November. /ARKA/. VTB (Armenia) is a partner of Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival.

As part of the event, concerts of famous Russian pianist Denis Matsuev will be held at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan.

The  Classics and Jazz concert is scheduled for November 8.  Matsuyev will perform together with leading Russian musicians. The program includes works by Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Bach, Paganini and Shostakovich.

The pianist’s recital will take place on 9 November and will include works by Franz Liszt, Ludwig van Beethoven, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Sergei Prokofiev.

‘Supporting cultural and educational initiatives is one of the key areas of our work. We are pleased to participate in such a significant project and contribute to the cultural life of the country,’ commented Ara Avagyan, General Director – Chairman of the VTB (Armenia) Board of Directors.

‘Denis Matsuev’s name is inextricably linked with the traditions of the legendary piano school and the consistent quality of concert programs. We are grateful to VTB (Armenia) for supporting the the great musician’s concerts,’ said Stepan Rostomyan, Artistic Director of the Yerevan Perspectives Festival.

Denis Matsuev is a laureate of international competitions, such as the Tchaikovsky Competition.
