Net non-commercial money transfers in Armenia decreased by 38.5% in October month-on-month – WB

YEREVAN, December 20. /ARКА/. Net non-commercial remittances in Armenia decreased by 38.5% in October month-on-month, according to the World Bank’s “Armenia Monthly Economic Update – December 2024”

“Net inflows from all sources decreased in October month-on-month, including from Russia (38%), the United States (16.2%) and other countries (94%). Net inflows were also significantly lower compared to October 2023 (down 41%),” the study says.

According to the Central Bank of Armenia, the net inflow of private money transfers from abroad through the banks in October 2024 amounted to $160 million, including $46.8 million of non-commercial; remittances. -0-
