Since its relaunch in 2024, 41 transactions worth over 5.7 billion drams completed on AMX currency platform

YEREVAN, March 21. /ARKA/. Since its relaunch in 2024, 41 transactions worth over 5.7 billion drams have been completed on the forex platform of the Armenia Stock Exchange (AMX), according to the annual report of the Armenia Stock Exchange.

On May 2, 2024, the Armenia Stock Exchange relaunched the forex

platform, where the last transaction had been carried out back in 2016.

On June 13, for the first time after a nearly 10-year break, a currency  conversion worth $1.1 million was made on the platform.

The platform makes the value of the dram against foreign currencies more visible and market-based. Transactions on the platform are carried out exclusively by preliminary deposit and anonymously, which ensures currency risk management. -0-
