Byblos Bank Armenia joins the ArcaPay system

YEREVAN, May 26. /ARKA/. Byblos Bank Armenia has joined another innovative ecosystem, ArcaPay.

ArcaPay enables customers of Armenian banks and payment and settlement companies to transfer money instantly by simply inputting the recipient’s phone number.

The service is accessible through the Byblos Mobile app, allowing the Bank’s customers to make instant transfers in AMD to clients of all banks that are part of the ArcaPay system:

– Only using the recipient’s phone number

– No need to know their card or account numbers

Byblos Bank Armenia customers can choose the Bank as their primary bank in the “Settings” section of the Byblos Mobile app to receive transfers via phone number from other banks. Transfers can be made between current, savings, and card accounts. The service is currently available to individual customers.

ArcaPay is a prime example of this. Now, our customers can easily access the Byblos Mobile app and make fast, secure money transfers to customers of other banks by simply providing their phone number,” said Artur Palikyan, Head of the Bank’s Consumer Banking Department.

Ruben Saghoyan, Director of Development at Arca, noted։ “ArcaPay became the first system to introduce a new trend, enabling interbank transfers using only contact information, without requiring card details, and processing them within seconds. We are happy to welcome Byblos Bank Armenia to the ArcaPay system. With this new membership, the system has become more powerful and efficient. The number of banks now participating in ArcaPay has reached seven, and more banks, as well as payment and settlement companies, are expected to join in the near future.”

Byblos Bank Armenia CJSC was founded in 2007. Today, the Bank has four branches in Yerevan where customers can use various banking services and receive financial advice. The Bank provides its customers corporate and retail banking services that meet the highest international standards, as well as continuously expands the scope of its remote banking services via the Byblos Mobile app.
